Services

Developing trusted aged-care services for regional Queensland

WattleCare Services is here for people who need care and support at home. We help older people, families and carers feel less alone as they plan the next step. Our team is building a safe and clear aged care service for people in regional Queensland. We are focused on kind care, clear words, and systems that help protect the people we support.

WattleCare is preparing to provide aged care under Categories 4 and 5. This includes care and support at home, and nursing and transition care, once approved.

We are also planning for NDIS as another possible funding pathway for people under 65 who need care and support at home. We will not say we are approved before we are. We will be clear about what we can do, what we cannot do, and what steps come next. If you are looking for care for yourself, a parent, a partner, or someone you love, you are welcome to ask us a question.

How It Will Work

How support will work after WattleCare commences services

Once WattleCare Services receives registration approval, our care model will be centred around clear communication, individual choice and safe, coordinated support. Here's what families can expect.

01

Start with a conversation

We begin by listening to what is happening at home, what support may be needed and whether WattleCare may be the right pathway once registration has been confirmed.

02

Understand eligibility and assessment

Government funded aged care requires assessment and approval through the appropriate Australian Government aged care pathway. We can explain the general process, however formal assessment and approval are managed through the Government system.

03

Plan support together

Once approved and services commence, support will be tailored around each individual's goals, preferences, risks and clinical needs, within the services WattleCare is approved to deliver.

04

Review and communicate

Care needs can change over time. WattleCare's model is being built around ongoing communication, documentation, regular review and appropriate escalation whenever needs change.

Personal Support

Practical support for everyday living

WattleCare is preparing to provide personal care and support services that help older Australians remain independent at home. Future services may include assistance with daily routines, personal care, wellbeing, care management and restorative support, delivered in line with approved registration requirements.

Nursing & Transition Care

Nurse-led clinical care, delivered safely at home

WattleCare is also preparing to provide nursing and transition care services where clinically appropriate. Every future service will be supported by strong governance, documentation, quality systems and person-centred planning to ensure safe, accountable care.

Important Information

WattleCare Services is progressing towards registration in Categories 4 and 5 and is not currently accepting funded clients, referrals or bookings.

WattleCare Services is not an emergency service. In a medical emergency or if someone is in immediate danger, call Triple Zero (000). Service availability will depend on registration approval, assessed needs, location, workforce capacity and WattleCare’s ability to provide care safely.
